Desert Experiences Near Jeddah. Find Your Kind of Day.
A first try at something new. An afternoon with your favourite people. An evening you are in no hurry to finish.
We’re developing Hala Camp around different ways to enjoy the desert—not a checklist everyone has to complete. Use these introductions to decide what interests you, then tell us the kind of visit you have in mind.
Hala Camp is under construction. The experiences below are being explored as part of the project. These pages explain the activities; they are not a confirmed opening programme or a list of bookable inclusions.
Start With One Experience

Quad biking: take an active role
Interested in riding rather than being a passenger? Start with the quad-bike guide. It explains the questions to ask about the riding area, instruction, equipment and who can participate.

4×4 dunes: understand the ride before choosing it
A driver-led dune experience and a transfer to a camp are not the same request. Our introduction helps you describe the kind of ride you want and ask about alternatives for anyone who would rather not take part.

Camels: make the introduction count
A camel encounter can mean very different things on a programme. Find out what to ask about supervision, animal care and whether your visit can focus on observing rather than riding.
Explore Camel EncountersSandboarding: give something new its own moment
Curious about trying a board on the dunes? Read about the equipment, the return uphill and the questions that make the session easier to understand before you arrive.

Under the stars: leave room for a slower evening
Interested in the night sky? Start by deciding whether you want a relaxed look upward or a session built around observing. Our guide explains what to check about the setting, light and equipment.

| What matters to you? | Start here | A useful question |
|---|---|---|
| Trying a riding activity yourself | Quad biking | What training and machine are appropriate for the rider? |
| Joining a driver-led dune outing | 4×4 dunes | How is the route described, and can we opt out? |
| A considered animal encounter | Camels | How are the animals cared for, and what happens during the visit? |
| Trying a board on sand | Sandboarding | What equipment, instruction and walking are involved? |
| An evening focused on the sky | Stargazing | What is the observing plan, and what happens when visibility is poor? |
These are planning prompts, not ratings of safety, difficulty or suitability.
Leave Space for the Gathering
Our suggestion: choose one main experience, then leave room to enjoy being together. A group does not need identical interests to share a good day.
For a future family or friends’ visit, send a private-group enquiry. For a company occasion, share your event brief. Requested activities and non-participating guests should both be part of the conversation.
Planning the Rest of the Visit?
Read the first-visit safari guide for transport and programme questions, or explore the camp itself.
Are all these experiences opening together?
That has not been confirmed. Individual activities may be introduced at different stages. The opening page will distinguish what is ready from what remains in development.
Does registering interest include an activity or reserve a place?
No. Registration records your interest only. Prices, participation requirements and booking arrangements will be published for any confirmed programme.
